GLORIA KABA

Gloria Kaba is a Ghanaian-American sound engineer, producer, mixer and writer with over a decade of experience in the studio. She began her career as an intern at Battery Studios before taking on an assistant engineer role at MSR Studios. There, she spent 6 years working with esteemed engineers, producers and artists including Madonna, Beyonce, Phil Ramone, Kanye West, Salaam Remi, Aretha Franklin and Frank Ocean. Her freelance work includes engineering on A Tribe Called Quest’s final album We Got It From Here...Thank You For Your Service and on Solange’s breakthrough release, A Seat At The Table, working closely with legendary hip-hop artist and producer Q-Tip.

Kaba is now focused on producing and mixing on a variety of projects. She most recently worked with acts like Ms. Lauryn Hill, John Batiste, Yebba, William Orbit, Nathalie Joachim and Molly Burch while collaborating with the likes of rising stars Kaina, Jaywood and Baker Boy.

In 2022, Kaba was inducted into YouTube’s Black Voices Class of 2022, a fund championing 21 outstanding Black producers and songwriters.

Gloria is currently the Technical Director at the legendary Power Station recording studio in New York City.
